“Exploring the opportunities and challenges LGBTQ+ young people experience online” – A free online workshop for professionals/parents/carers

As part of our Safer Internet Day activity, and as part of our Newport Participatory ‘Digital Resilience and Digital Wellbeing’ Project, WISE KIDS is delighted to be hosting a free online workshop aimed at professionals, parents and foster carers which will seek to explore and understand the opportunities and challenges LGBTQ+ young people experience online, and how best we can support them to thrive online and offline. It will feature inputs from Sangeet Bhullar from WISE KIDS and presentations and a Q and A panel session from LGBTQ+ young people from Bassaleg and Caerleon schools in Newport. It will also feature input from Sarah McCreadie, Digital Youth Worker from Cardiff Youth Service; Anthony Gardner, Assistant Head and organiser of Pride Group from Caerleon Comprehensive School and Leona Vaughan, Wellbeing and Progress Officer from Bassaleg School.
