Class D

Welcome to the Class D homepage…

Class D are taught by Miss Jones and Mrs Shone is the teaching assistant. Mrs Aldridge covers PPA in the class on a Monday afternoon.

Please find a curriculum letter about the things we will be covering this year as well as all the things your child needs during the school day.

Homework

As mentioned above your child will receive 3 pieces of homework each week. One will be spellings, one will be a reading book and the third will generally be maths based. These are all due in on a Tuesday.

Our children are taught to access work through Google Classroom and therefore homework is often given this way. We have some helpful guides and websites below…

April 2023 – ICT Coding

Class D (year 3) had a fun morning learning how to write the coding to create a remote control cart. Using micro:bits they all created a program to make a cart move forwards, backwards and even turn! Once they’d finished writing the coding on the Chromebooks they had to download it to their micro:bits and work out how to attach it to the cart. They all managed to complete the task which required lots of perseverance and problem solving skills to overcome the problems they faced.
